Zheng Dan, male, Han nationality, native of Kaizhou, Chongqing, Member of the China National Democratic Construction Association, a doctor of engineering, third-class professor, doctoral tutor. He is the vice president of Chongqing Jiaotong University.

He graduated from the Department of Hydraulic Engineering, Tsinghua University in June 2005 with a Ph.D. in Engineering. Previously, he held positions including Vice Dean of the School of River and Ocean Engineering and Director of the Teaching Affairs Office at Chongqing Jiaotong University. He has long been engaged in research related to concrete fracture damage and non-destructive testing, has presided over more than 10 national and provincial-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Applied Basic Research Projects of the Ministry of Transport, and Chongqing Youth Science and Technology Talent Training Program. In 2024, He was selected as an Academic and Technical Leader of Chongqing. He has received 10 provincial/ministerial awards, including the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education, First Prize of Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award, and Second Prize of Chongqing Teaching Achievement Award, has published over 70 academic papers in journals such as Engineering Fracture Mechanics, Construction and Building Materials, Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, and Journal of Hydroelectric Engineering.
