Luo Jun, male, native of Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering. Currently, he serves as a Second-Class Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, and Vice President of Chongqing Jiaotong University.

He obtained his Ph.D. from the Robotics Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also pursued academic training as a visiting scholar and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Toronto, Canada. His research primarily focuses on multi-robot collaborative manufacturing technologies, as well as perception, recognition, coordination, and adversarial decision-making algorithms within intelligent unmanned systems. He has led more than 30 national and ministerial-level research initiatives, including projects under the National High-Tech Research and Development Program (863 Program), the National Basic Research Strengthening Program, the National Key R&D Program, and major instrument-specific projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

He has received numerous prestigious awards and honors, such as the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2015), appointment as a Leading Talent in Science and Technology by the Ministry of Science and Technology (2015), selection into the National Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project (2016), inclusion in the National Ten Thousand Talents Program (2017), recognition as Leader of the First “National Huang Danian-Style Teacher Team” (2017), and leadership of an NSFC Innovative Research Group (2024). He has also been honored as an Outstanding Scientist of Chongqing (2021), a Leading Talent of Shanghai (2017), an Outstanding Academic Leader of Shanghai (2015), and was supported by the Shanghai Dawn Program (2007) and the Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Morning Star Program (2003) and its Follow-up Support (2007). Additionally, he was named an Outstanding Communist Party Member of Shanghai (2016) and a Model Teacher of Professional Ethics in Shanghai (2016).

To date, he has published over 300 SCI-indexed papers, authored or translated five academic books, and been granted more than 300 invention patents in both China and the United States. His scientific contributions have been recognized with several distinguished awards, including the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award, the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Special Prize and First Prize of the China Navigation Society Science and Technology Award, the Special Prize and First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award issued by the Chinese Association of Automation, the First Prize of the Chongqing Technology Invention Award, and the First Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
