●general information about scientific research

Since 2000 Chongqing Jiaotong University has undertaken 33 scientific research projects of State grade, 232 projects of provincial and ministerial grade. In recent five years the University has scientific research contract amount exceeding 240 million yuan and has published 105 academic works and academic papers 3950 among which 230 papers have been included in three major index system three major index systems SCI, EI and ISTP. In addition to the State invention prize awarded in 1996 and second and third prize of State scientific technological progress since year 2000 the University has been awarded 3 prizes including first prize and second prize of State scientific technological progress and the State second prize of teaching achievements and 24 prizes of scientific and technological and teaching achievement of provincial and ministerial level and 23 prizes of national academic conference . The University has been also awarded 10 published patents for inventions and 12 scientific technology fruits have been listed in State and key promotion programs of provincial and ministerial levels.

●academic journals

“Applied mathematics and mechanics” is a monthly journal chiefly edited by Mr. QIAN Weichang, the academician of China Academy of Science and operated by the University and is published in both Chinese and English versions and issued to above 50 states and regions worldwide. This journal has been included in two world famous scientific and technological journals index systems namely “Scientific Citation Index (SCI)” and “Engineering Index ( EI)” . Journal “Applied Mathematics and Mechanics” has been awarded 9 prizes of model journals of MOC, Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality out of which there are three first prizes and in year 1999 this journal was ranked as fundamental and advanced scientific and technological academic journal financed by State natural science and technology funds committee , State scientific association as the result of selection for best. In year 2001 this journal of both Chinese and English version have been awarded honor of “China journal square matrix” double efficient journal. In order to meet the needs of information construction of our country this journal has been included in “China academic journals (Disc version)”, “Wanfang data ”, “China journal net ” and “Chinese academic journal data base”.

this journal is under the charge of MOC and operated by the University and is a bimonthly publication published at home and broad. This journal is enlisted in State grade Torch plan program, State key new product “Chinese journal net”, “China academic journal ”(disc edition) with full contents collected (year 1994-2002) , journal of State grade torch plan program “China scientific academic journal comprehensive evaluation data base ” resource (1994-2002); journal of “China science citation index data base” journal (there are 1500 types in China), IRRD (international road and road transportation scientific and research information) book catalogue and document data base resource ; CRDS (China road document service center) key journal (MOC). In year 2000 it was rewarded as model executive journal of “CAJ-CD specification ” in first session in China and in year 2001 it was enlisted in “China key journal (selected ) data base ”. It was established in January 2001. This journal is quarterly comprehensive academic social science publication operated by the University . This journal is rich in columns conducting research and exchange in respects of politics, law, philosophy, history, geology, economics, literature, arts, athletics, higher educational theory, teaching reformation of higher education , books and picture information, engineering practice and management and so on.
